Daniel Gil is a native Houstonian who is passionate about life and living it to the fullest. His athletic background includes various sports, dance, backyard tumbling, trampolining, parkour, free running, bowflex training, and ninja warrior training.
In the fall of 2013 he came on staff at Iron Sports and you can find him directing the Iron Sports “Ninja School (Homeschool) Program”, and teaching private lessons to students wanting to hone their ninja skills and adults wanting to compete on ANW.
Too young to compete on Season 6 of American Ninja Warrior, Daniel was a 2014 “Course Tester” at both Dallas Regionals and Las Vegas Finals. In 2015, he competed on season 7 and went to the National Finals, and competed on the ANW All Stars Special. He also captained a team on Team Ninja Warrior season 1.
In 2016 he completed the OKC Qualifiers and City Finals, qualifying for National Finals on ANW 8, and was one of only two competitors to beat stage 2. He will also be a captain on Team Ninja 2 airing in spring of 2017. He plans to compete again and go even farther on ANW 9!
Outside the gym, Daniel is a classically trained vocalist, and a dancer who loves performing. He is also a worship leader at Dwelling Place Church, and works with “232 young adult ministries” with his wife Abigail. He has attained an Associates Degree of Applied Ministerial Studies at All-Nations School of Ministry and loves to travel on international mission trips.
Daniel is A “Kingdom” minded athlete with a passion for Ninja Warrior, as well as a heart for God. Wherever he goes he shares his love for health, fitness, people, and adventure.
